Up to now this page has showcased a selection of the hashing territory accessible from the UKNH base at St Mary's University, Twickenham.
The Hare Raiser has now updated this trail menu to provide details of the actual trails that are on offer for the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the UKNH25 weekend.
You will be given the opportunity to sign-up for your preferred trails via this registration form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdO3SHurkmyOD0g75DyXtS4cH89m9bib0fo2L40K48BjlpeEA/viewform?usp=header
The Ball Breaker trail is 18 ½ -ish km long, plus checking. It’s almost all off road on paths and tracks through varied open and wooded countryside, with a few hills, ponds and sights. It is an “A to B” trail with a drink stop and a circle at the end, then a coach back to the site. There is one planned drink stop on the trail after about 12km, and there are opportunities to buy ice cream. If you like a long run, this will be a good one :).
You must carry sufficient water for 12km, and a working phone with the UKNH25 emergency contact number stored and the What3Words app installed with the language set to “English (UK)”. You are advised to also have Uber installed on your phone in case of need to make your own way back to the site. Checks will be marked and there will be a sweeper hare. Note that the coach will leave B at 3pm. It will not wait for missing or late hashers, nor will the hares go searching.
Join us for a scenic 12km A-to-B trail run through the picturesque River Crane Valley.
After a short coach ride to the starting point, we’ll follow this picturesque river as it meanders through leafy woodland, parks, and nature reserves. It’s a rare opportunity to enjoy a mostly off-road, flat trail in an urban setting—complete with dappled shade, rich birdlife, and peaceful riverside views.
Along the way, we’ll pass several points of interest, including memorials for two local rock icons. We’ll finish with a celebratory drink stop at a local brewery towards the end just before arriving back at the venue for the circle and lunch.
Escape the big smoke and join us for this bog standard country hash. Starting from the village green of Pirbright the 10k route with a massive 300 feet ish of elevation gain (flat) takes you on a tour of the local countryside. Visit the grave of Henry Stanley (Dr Livingstone I presume). If it rains there might be Shiggy! Watch out for the Crocodile!
See where Kings & Queens are crowned, where laws are made (and broken), see the Elizabeth clock tower (and hear Big Ben chime, if we time it right), a flying church, Covent Garden(just in case you need a souvenir), Leicester Square (famous for film premiers), Trafalgar Square and Nelson’s column, Admiralty Arch, a royal palace (or two), a royal park (or two), a war room, as well as a pub or two along the way and who ‘nose’ what else!
In an area famed for the poet Alexander Pope, the Pope is setting a trail weaving through the streets and alleyways of Teddington before bursting out into Bushey park. Approximately 9k for the main trail with a few optional short cuts. At the end there will be a boat trip most of the way back to the venue. So don’t miss the boat!!!
Rock your hash Bra and Pants in the magical Surrey hills and enjoy panoramic views of the stunning North Down Way on our 8km and 3.5 km rolling trails. Enjoy the amazing wildlife as you hash through wonderful woodland territory. Then down a few pints at The Hogs Back Brewery, whose beer garden is a hashers dream, looking out onto the very hops they use in their beer. This is an experience you don't want to miss.
Fancy cruising down the Thames followed by a leisurely stroll past Hampton Court and deer spotting in Bushey Park? This is the trail for you! Your 'young ‘down of hares’ will ensure a smooth cruise followed by a walk/run of 8.5k or shorter route of 4.5k finishing back at the Uni. A great option for couples or friends needing different lengths of trail. The shorter route is mainly on paved paths, through the park.
Do you need a description? Pub crawl from site, led by Prince and Periodical. It is a 49 minute walk according to Google (plus pub stops), around the hostelries of Twickenham. Pay as you go.

Come and join The Black Death Full Moon Hash for a scenic r*n in the beautiful Black Park Country Park. We can offer you either 8km or 5km trails through woodland and heathland amongst impressive Corsican Black Pines. Both trails are flat, and the trees offer much cover should the weather be very hot or wet at the time. The park has a rich filming history and you may spot locations that have appeared in films such as Casino Royale, Superman, Harry Potter, Goldfinger, and Carry On At Your Convenience. There is also a pub at the end of the trail with a live music festival.

This is a small but perfectly formed trail showcasing the best of Teddington, starting from the St Mary's venue, making the most of the hares' local knowledge of the terrain and returning after visiting a few of the significant sites of the area.
It includes views of the river, off road, and numerous opportunities for gawping at the view.
If you still have a thirst on after the weekend, there are also a few hostelries en route.
It's 5km with plenty of options to cut it shorter, or to do a longer loop.
The trail is basically flat, with no significant hills.
